Diagnosing a Fanuc Alpha Servo Module with a Blank Seven-Segment Display

If the seven segment display is totally BLANK (no dash, nothing) then:

Step 1

Unplug the JX5, JX1A, JX1B, ENC1, ENC2 and ENC3 cables (that should be all the new style Honda cables).

Step 2

Make sure the fuse on the front face of the 6096-H304 is good.

Step 3

Verify the 24v DC input on the bottom two wires of the cable into CX2A.

If the above three conditions are met, and the display does not have a dash then the servo modules needs replacing.

Note: For an Alpha i Servo Module to have a dash on the seven-segment display, the 24 Volts is applied to CXA2B.
